Czech Space Office is a non-profit association created in November 2003.
The main activities of the Czech Space Office are:
- information and coordination centre of the national space activities including international cooperation,
- cooperation with ESA and national space agencies,
- Czech Republic representation in the International Astronautical Federation (IAF),
- network management between the Czech institutions and foreign organisations in the space-related fields,
- Galileo national contact point management,
- facilitation of the space industry development and implementation of space applications.
The Office closely cooperates with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport responsible for space activities in the Czech Republic and with Ministry of Transport responsible for Galileo programme. CSO also represents the Czech Republic in a European Space Policy preparation and in European Space Technology Platform.
