European launchers are ignited by APP
APP is specialized in pyrogenic and pyrotechnic gas generators producing hot or cool gases. Amongst others APP produces the igniters for the Ariane 5 and the VEGA launchers. Based on the technology of generating hot and cool gases out of solid material, APP can provide solutions for the rapid inflation of items (e.g. life rafts, emergency slides), the generation of breathable oxygen but also for the controlled distribution of dust explosion suppression powders.
