Having approximately 220 employees, Dutch Space B.V., former Fokker Space, is the largest space industry in the Netherlands. It is now owned by Astrium N.V., the space dedicated part of EADS. Dutch Space produces solar arrays for many applications. Contribution to the Ariane 5 program is through delivery of Engine Frames. Dutch Space has built the European Robotic Arm, to be launched by a Proton launcher to the International Space Station. Instruments for ozone monitoring (OMI and Sciamachy) were delivered to NASA and ESA respectively. A successor, TROPOMI is now being built. Through the experience in many simulation related projects, Dutch Space is a centre of excellence for simulation for ESA. Dutch Space ambition is to enhance its defense related activities.
