JAQAR (www.jaqar.com) is divided in 2 activities: a)Astrodynamics: We optimise trajectories. Our main and most famous product is the Swing-by Calculator, it is used in ESA/CDF pre-phase A studies, other customers using the SBC include SSTL. b)Concurrent Design: JAQAR provides Parametric Design support to ESA’s Concurrent Design Facility (CDF). In this facility engineers come together to perform conceptual design studies of satellites and space mission, e.g. to Mars and the Moon. Using the CDF has made it possible for ESA to reduce the time needed for conceptual satellite and mission design from 6 months to 6-8 weeks. By using a software infrastructure and methodology based on the one used in ESA we think we can provide some of the space and non-space industry with the same benefits. JAQAR applies this proven Parametric Design approach to the non-space and space industry.
