Royal Schelde started shipbuilding activities over a century ago at Vlissingen, The Netherlands. Recently, Royal Schelde joined the Damen Shipyards Group, and today, Royal Schelde is a member of one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the Netherlands. Within the Damen Group, Royal Schelde represents the naval shipbuilding and marine engineering capability. Royal Schelde's facilities are laid out to build the most sophisticated and up to date surface combatants and auxiliaries. The core capabilities of Royal Schelde include the design and the construction of naval craft, as well as the installation and integration of sensor and weapon outfit communication and navigation equipment.
