Akima Corp. Company Center

Akima was formed in October 1995 and is owned by two Alaska Regional Corporations: NANA Regional Corporation and The Aleut Corporation. Akima is 100-percent owned by its 14,000 shareholders, 80% of whom reside in the NANA region of Alaska, north of the Arctic Circle. These corporations were created under under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971.
