Introducing the firm in 1973, Davey Bickford took over the ivities of etablissements Davey Bickford Smith & Cie who, for 150 years, has been manufacturing devices for setting of explosives. After having produced the famous Bickford Fuse, or Safety Fuse, for more than 100 years, the firm now mass-produces pyrotechnical and electric detonators (with instantaneous or delayed working), supple detonating cord with PETN and lead wire, mostly for civil use.
