EBETAM S.A. (Metallurgical Industrial Research and Technology Development Centre - MIRTEC), was founded in 1985 by the General Secretariat of Research and Development, Ministry of Development. EBETAM has been the first company of industrial research and technological development, ever founded in Greece. The objectives for its establishment were the performance of scientific research and the provision of support to the industry regarding the application and exploitation of scientific and technology results. This way EBETAM offers high quality technilogical services to the metallurgy and metallic materials sectors. EBETAM is located in Volos, the biggest metallurgical centre in Greece, with significant tradition and activity in the metals and construction sector. The company has offices in the two biggest industrial centers, those of Athens and Thessaloniki, while it has an extended network of collaborators covering all areas of Greece.
