CIRA (Italian Aerospace Research Centre) is a company located in Capua, Caserta’s county, with facilities developed on 0,625 square mile.
ASI (Italian Aerospace Agency) and CNR (National Research Council) hold the majority of the Company shares, which considerably belong to relevant national and regional (Campania = Naples’ region) aerospace industries too.
CIRA derives, from a Government regulation, its institutional duty to develop and carry on the national aerospace research program PRO.R.A.
This program includes the development of studies in the aerospace field, in accordance to the scientific, technological and economical evolution.
CIRA activities have been also intended to develop the improvement and the sharing of scientific know-how and personnel training. The objective shall be also realised through European programs involvement and the accomplishment and the management of the facilities conceived by the same program.
