IRDAM SA is a Swiss company which develops, produced and distributes automatic weather stations since 1984. Our products are specially developed for MBT's and small armoured Recce vehicles and for Recce APC, NBC APC's or UAV ground stations. On certain models, a compass and a GPS are integrated, allowing us to introduce the concept of "mission oriented AWS". The IRDAM technology of Thermal Field Variation for calculating wind speed and direction has proven reliable. The station detects thermal field changes caused by wind flowing around a heated cylinder. It is the high technology equivalent of the traditional wet finger held to the wind. The principle has demonstrated its reliability and performance on military vehicles. IRDAM produce products "Made in Switzerland" with high accuracy and robustness, and in conformity with the European directive RoHS 2002 / 95 / EC, and MIL standards.
