Machine-Building Plant named after M.I.Kalinin started its history in 1866, from the gun workshops in St-Petersburg, that consequently had grown into the state-governed plant producing artillery guns for infantry and later for anti-air defence systems. In 1918 it was evaquated to Moscow suburb, and in1941 to Sverdlovsk. Since late 50th it has been specialised in the production of launchers and anti-air missiles.
