Since its foundation in 1954, the Spanish Association of Aerospace Material Constructors (Asociación Española de Constructores de Material Aeroespacial – ATECMA), which brings together the Spanish Aeronautics and Space companies, has promoted the development of the national industry and has represented it before all competent bodies.
At present, ATECMA has 43 associated companies and 2 affiliated Regional Associations, representing virtually all turnover in the aeronautics material manufacturing sector in Spain, and is therefore the sectoral representative to National and International Authorities.
In Spain, ATECMA promotes the participation of its Companies in technological development and quality plans, for which the Association has an Innovation Agent exclusively dedicated to giving coverage to its Associates. Through the gathering and analysis of the statistical data of the sector, ATECMA constitutes a vital source of information on the sector in our country and provides an essential consultation service for strategic and business planning.
In Europe, through ASD, it participates on all Committees of interest to the aeronautics industry which seek to promote joint industrial ventures in the continent. Through these Committees, ATECMA has in the past year participated on the management and drafting of proposals for the consolidation of “Aeronautical Europe” as befits the global nature of our industrial strategy.
