Australian Industry & Defence Network (Aidn) Company Center

The Australian Industry & Defence Network Incorporated (AIDN) is a peak industry association for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) wishing to do business in the Defence sector. It has been established since 1995 and aims to maximise defence-related business for Australian SMEs.

AIDN achieves its goals by:

• Identifying and developing opportunities for SMEs to take part in Australian defence business opportunities and global supply chains as direct suppliers, individually and in groups, and via prime contractors;
• Providing advocacy services for its membership to and from Defence, government and industry, and representation on government industry forums in the defence sector;
• Developing the skills base of its membership, including through initiatives which utilise government assistance;
  Providing a searchable database of member capabilities; and
• Taking part in trade missions, conferences, seminars and road shows to showcase member capabilities.
  

AIDN is made up of State and Territory chapters with a combined membership in excess of 800 companies. Its chapter structures are optimised to reflect the nature of the defence industry in each State and Territory, which ensures that its national direction is informed by a full range of industry views.
