The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber is the legal representative of the entire Austrian business community. Membership is compulsory and comprises of all Austrian companies. Some 300.000 businesses drawn from the areas of crafts and trade, commerce, industry, banking and insurance, information and consulting, tourism and leisure industries, defence & aerospace, transport and communication.
