The Videoton (VT) Systemtechnics Ltd. was founded by the largest electronics company, the Videoton holding, in 1992. The company is located at Székesfehérvár, a town 60 km far from Budapest. Between 1960-1989, the predecessor of VT Systemtechnics manufactured different equipment under Russian licence. During the 80's the Videoton started to develop defense electronics systems, as a prime contractor and the company won significant Eastern-European, African and Asian contracts (through tenders) for its own-developed jamming and reconnaissance systems.
