Based upon the world’s only dedicated silicon acoustic particle velocity sensor in air, Microflown Technologies develops and markets breakthrough testing methods for noise and vibration. Its flagship product is a match size light weight MEMS based three dimensional sound chip. The company is actively involved in various EU FP 7 programs for (aero)space and defence industry. Aerospace applications include in flight cabin interior panel noise contribition/transfer path analysis without the need to apply damping foam, in situ acoustic impedance measurements on jet engine liners/porous airfoils, PU near field direct acoustic camera, far field sound source triangulation/passive radar, Scan & Listen, making modes audible. Space applications include acoustic testing of launching vehicles in non anechoic facility. Defence applications include ground to ground and air to ground sniper detection, passive radar, unattended sensors for surveillance in air, on the ground and underwater.
