The NLR provides assistance in the acquisition of new helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. It's always a complex juggling act between suppliers, the military, and the political world. The NLR serves as an independent competence center within this interplay. With the help of calculations, simulations and test flights, we can see how much the suppliers' promises are worth and how many of our demands they are capable of meeting. All this applies practical criteria to the final choice. Once the aircraft are put into service, the NLR assists in their maintenance and any necessary adaptations to materiel.
